Dan has been part of the Glassworks International team for over five years. During that time, he has progressed from Sales Administrator to Account Manager, helping businesses across the food and beverage industry source the right glass packaging while building long-lasting trusting relationships.

Dan is an Account Manager at Glassworks International, bringing extensive experience in the glass packaging industry and a customer-focused approach to every project. He works closely with customers to understand their requirements, providing expert guidance and tailored packaging solutions. Dedicated to building long-term relationships, Dan prides himself on delivering exceptional service and ensuring every customer receives the highest level of support from enquiry through to delivery.

From Sales Administration to Account Management

When Dan joined Glassworks International, the business was entering an exciting period of growth.

What attracted me to Glassworks was that the business was growing and genuinely cared about the people within it,” he explains.

Starting as a Sales Administrator, Dan gained experience across many areas of the business, from processing sales orders and coordinating logistics to supporting customers and identifying new opportunities.

Those early experiences provided him with a strong understanding of the entire supply chain and the importance of delivering a seamless customer experience.

Many of the businesses he first worked with during those early years remain valued Glassworks customers today.

Today, as an Account Manager, Dan’s role centres on supporting existing customers, helping them manage stock levels, develop new packaging projects, review pricing and navigate any challenges they may face.

Putting Customers First

No two days are ever quite the same, but customer service remains our priority.

A typical day involves customer meetings, reviewing pricing, planning stock requirements and working closely with colleagues across the business to ensure every customer receives the support and service they need.

For Dan, great customer service is about making glass packaging something customers never have to worry about.

Our job is to ensure that glass is on our customers’ doorstep when they need it and for that to never be a concern. If we can do that while remaining competitive, then we’ve done our job.

This proactive approach has helped Dan build long-term relationships with customers across a wide range of industries.

Watching those businesses grow alongside us is incredibly rewarding.

Supporting Customers Through Industry Change

Like many sectors, the glass packaging industry continues to evolve.

One of the biggest challenges facing food and beverage manufacturers today is navigating the introduction of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), while also responding to changing consumer spending habits.

Dan explains that Glassworks International works closely with customers to help reduce these pressures.

We’re reviewing existing packaging portfolios and identifying opportunities to reduce container weight wherever possible. Lightweight glass packaging is becoming increasingly important because it helps businesses lower material usage while reducing the impact of EPR costs.

He believes lightweighting will continue to be one of the biggest developments shaping the future of glass packaging.

The progress we’re making with lightweight glass is really exciting, and I think it’s an area where Glassworks can stay ahead of the market.

When asked which company value resonates with him most, Dan immediately points to a phrase regularly shared by Managing Director Paul Morgan: Customer is King.

A good sales professional isn’t afraid to be honest, puts their neck on the line for customers and treats every customer’s business as if it were their own.
